Triple Major: Economics, Industrial Relations & Sociology

Figuring out how the world works—whether through market theories, campus communities, or just noticing the little things.

THE RUNDOWN

Three majors, mostly just figuring it out as I go.

Tanya is navigating a triple major in Economics, Industrial Relations, and Sociology at St. Joseph's University. It sounds like a lot on paper, but it really just gives her different lenses to look at the same question: why do people and systems act the way they do?

When she isn't doing readings, she spends her time helping out at the Economics Forum, playing chess just for the fun of it, or volunteering with NSS. She just enjoys being in spaces where good people come together to build things.

CAMERA ROLL

Just some things I noticed.

Not a professional photographer by any means, but Tanya likes keeping a visual diary of random street moments, dogs she meets, and whatever happens to catch her eye on a Tuesday.

It's mostly just a habit of paying attention. Here are a few unedited pieces from the camera roll.

ON CAMPUS

Building things with good people.

Tanya helps out at the Economics Forum, putting together events that make textbook concepts a bit more hands-on. It's honestly just a great excuse to hang out, collaborate, and learn outside the classroom.

Forum Stock Exchange

A mock trading simulation we put together with a little help from some industry folks.

Ecolibrium

Our inter-college fest. Lots of planning, lots of coffee, and students visiting from all over Bengaluru.

Graphiti

Basically just Pictionary, but trying to draw economic concepts. It gets exactly as messy as it sounds.

Crisis Seva Kendra

A monthly meetup where student teams talk through practical ideas to solve real-world issues.
